Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $65,000 to $85,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and enter monthly journal entries accurately and on time, ensuring alignment with supporting documentation.
  • Produce various system-generated and internal reports for management review and inclusion in reconciliations or journal entries.
  • Reconcile weekly cash receipts, including deposits and cash receipt postings, and prepare related reconciliation packages.
  • Record and track daily banking and payroll transactions for monthly reporting purposes.
  • Reconcile and review banking transactions, such as cash deposits, incoming wires, and credit card transactions.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ year(s) of professional experience in accounting or finance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Display strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Show the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as part of a team.
Qualifications
  • Prepare payment wires and code accounts payable invoices with appropriate general ledger (GL) accounts before processing.
  • Process vendor changes and validate vendor requests to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
  • Conduct monthly fluctuation analysis on corporate results and coordinate the annual census.
  • Support the Division Accounting team and assist with the general ledger close process as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining the fixed asset ledger, participating in audits, managing intercompany schedules, and reviewing general ledger entries.
