Job Description

Don Tester Ford is seeking an experienced and dependable Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced shop, has solid diagnostic skills, and is committed to delivering high-quality work. You’ll perform everything from routine maintenance to more complex repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including Ford models.

Job Type & Schedule

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, rotating Saturdays
  • Pay:  $16 - $20/h depending on previous experience and qualifications.


Work Requirements:

  • Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts

  • Ability to Commute: Norwalk, OH (Required)

  • Work Location: In person

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on customer and dealership vehicles

  • Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake jobs, and tire rotations

  • Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair timelines and recommendations

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols

  • Stay up to date with Ford training and certifications

  • Document all work performed in accordance with dealership procedures

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of automotive technician experience preferred

  • Ford or OEM certifications a plus

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical demands of shop work
