Network Infrastructure Architect
Location: Carlsbad, CA (4 days onsite)
Duration: 6-12 months
Required:
- Proficient in triaging advanced system and network alerts across enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise network architecture, data center ecosystems, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization and SDN platforms (e.g., VMware, NSX).
- Advanced Linux and Windows administration with emphasis on network services, security hardening, and patching.
- Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF), routing, subnetting, NAT, and firewall configurations.
- Experience managing network hardware and appliances (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, NetScaler).
- Skilled in performance tuning, latency optimization, capacity planning, and network analytics.
- Strong automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or PowerCLI.
- Familiar with network security (VPNs, ACLs, IDS/IPS, auditing, SIEMs like Splunk or ELK).
- Able to identify and automate manual operational workloads through tooling and scripting.
- Comfortable with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark, Nagios).
- Collaborative mindset with experience across network engineering, DevOps, and security teams.
- Proven ability to mentor junior/intermediate engineers and lead troubleshooting of complex, multi-platform issues.
- Strong documentation habits, organizational skills, and ability to work across distributed teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and stakeholder audiences.
- Willing to travel up to 10%.
