PACO Group, Inc. (PACO) is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Engineer to join our team in support of the Gateway Program - GDC Bridging Phase project. This transformative initiative is focused on advancing critical infrastructure improvements, enhancing regional connectivity, and supporting long-term transit efficiency. As a Cost Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial oversight and budgetary precision, ensuring seamless cost management and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers the chance to collaborate with top industry professionals and contribute to the success of a landmark program that will shape the future of transit infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, analyze, and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Track expenditures and maintain accurate records to manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular cost reporting, variance analysis, and recommendations for mitigating financial risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve budgetary concerns and streamline financial processes.
  • Evaluate contractor cost proposals, change orders, and invoices to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering, cost analysis, or financial management for infrastructure or transit projects.
  • Proficiency in cost estimating tools and software, including Excel, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with NJ Transit, GDC, or similar transit agencies preferred.
