Join Our Team We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist I to become a vital part of our Operating Room Team. At Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin, you will contribute to innovative care for patients from around the globe.
Job Details:
- Position: Surgical Technologist I - General Specialty
- Shift: 2nd (Evening)
- Full Time: Yes
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215
- Pay Range: $26.10 - $39.15
Compensation & Benefits:
- $10,000 SIGN-ON Bonus Eligible with distance-based relocation available
- $2,000 SIGN-ON Bonus for PM Shifts

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the surgical area using aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient care.
- Assist with a variety of surgical procedures while maintaining a safe and clean operating room environment.
- Transport patients and supplies, ensuring efficient support during operations.
- Manage specialty carts and check equipment functionality.
- Participate as a Second Assistant during surgeries as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of patient age-specific needs and ensure compliance with departmental protocols.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- No prior experience necessary; new graduates are welcome
Physical Requirements:
- Must lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and 20 lbs. overhead.
- Capability to push/pull and perform sliding transfers with assistance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
