The Opportunity
As the Head of Digital Product Management, you will play a crucial role in transforming P&C digital experiences in Servicing and Billing. You will lead the vision, design, and prioritization of major native digital experiences in these areas. This position will also oversee a key initiative aimed at enhancing P&C Digital Member Satisfaction by coordinating efforts across Service, Billing, and Sales.
In this role, you will drive the discovery, delivery, and performance of digital products and experiences for USAA and its members. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and partners, you will tackle complex challenges to optimize customer experiences. You will be responsible for designing and implementing multi-platform technology and digital solutions, improving existing products across channels, and focusing on driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). By utilizing User-Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies, you will help bring leading Digital and Technology products to market. You will also develop product strategies, visions, and goals while balancing innovation with investment. Ensuring alignment among all stakeholders is crucial.
We offer a flexible work environment with an expectation to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA, or Tampa, FL. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What You'll Do:
- Utilize research, market intelligence, and data insights to identify opportunities, propose solutions, create and maintain product roadmaps, and enhance performance.
- Lead teams to define, envision, and translate product opportunities into actionable initiatives, driving the execution strategy.
- Oversee complex product opportunities from conception to market validation through collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Defend product investments through business case development and clearly communicate the value of Digital and Technology offerings.
- Apply data-driven techniques to assess product performance against KPIs/KRIs and share best practices with the team.
- Guide the team in generating insights to detect opportunities for enhancements, ensuring improvements are executed effectively.
- Create compelling presentations to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, and facilitate sessions for product definition and development.
- Conduct internal and external research to implement best practices and trends for digital products.
- Manage ambiguity and influence others toward a unified vision, driving clarity and execution within teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain expert knowledge in business, technology, user experience, and product management.
- Provide mentorship to team members, serve as an escalation point, and ensure the resolution of issues.
- Identify and manage risks related to business activities in accordance with compliance policies.
What You Have:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years) in related fields.
- 8 years of experience in Digital/Technology Product Management, including Strategy/Planning, Innovation, User Experience, and Analytics; or an Advanced degree with 6 years in the same fields.
- Thorough understanding of Digital products and emerging technology platforms, data analysis, and research techniques.
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience with analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau) and A/B testing.
- Expertise in designing customer experiences and acting as a solution owner for mobile solutions.
- Proficient in human-centered design and UX/UI principles, especially for Native platforms (iOS and Android).
- Strong understanding of digital product economics, ROI modeling, and cost-reduction strategies.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and analysts.
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is $143,320 - $273,930.

Compensation: USAA has a structured process for evaluating market data to ensure we remain competitive. Your salary will be determined based on your experience and market data. It may vary by location.
Employees may qualify for pay incentives based on overall performance.
