Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering exceptional, patient-centered care and managing all functions in the unit during designated shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC evaluates and directs nursing care in line with established policies and serves as a resource for staff, fostering a commitment to our mission and enhancing the overall patient experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient admissions and discharges to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Participate in ongoing quality assessments of patient care services.
• Collaborate with team members and management to promote a culture of teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Emphasize a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery as needed.
• Support initiatives that enhance nursing engagement and service quality.
• Contribute to staff recruitment, training, and development processes.
• Assist in managing staff scheduling and labor resources in alignment with patient needs.
• Oversee inventory management and assist with supply and equipment management.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Required: ADN
• Preferred: BSN or MSN

Licensure/Certifications:

• Required: RN Licensure in Texas or compact state, BCLS
• Preferred: ACLS, National Certification

Experience:

• Required: Two years of clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Preferred: One year of management experience, Acute Care experience.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Strong ability to create staff schedules.
• Critical thinking and crisis management skills.
• Clear communication abilities.
• Effective team-building capabilities.
• Empathetic listening and response skills toward patients and families.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
