Your Role and Responsibilities
- Performing thorough patient evaluations, recommending tests, and developing tailored treatment plans
- Diagnosing and addressing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues collaboratively with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
- Empowering patients and their families with knowledge about prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your practice scope
- Engaging in ongoing patient follow-up and management of chronic conditions
- Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Maintaining accurate and complete records in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Michigan
- National certification either as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or relevant specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Exceptional clinical judgment combined with sincere compassion
- Strong communication abilities with patients, their families, and healthcare personnel
- Flexibility in delivering care in fast-paced, patient-oriented settings
- Familiarity with EMR systems and proficiency in telehealth tools
- A team-oriented approach with a dedication to evidence-based healthcare
