We have a delivery truck driver opening in St. Rose, LA and are looking for the best to join our team.
This is a physically demanding job with consistent heavy lifting in a non-climate controlled environment. Please only apply if you are comfortable working in those conditions.
In this position you will:
- Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner while strictly following Amarr's policies spelled out in the Driver Handbook (including pre-trip, inspections, log books, safe driving, etc.).
- Keep all drivers certification documents ready and available for display at all times.
- Assist in the completion of production orders in warehouse when not driving.
- Accurately load & unload customers. (Inspect for damaged materials).
- Unload and accurately receive incoming product.
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience required (2+ years preferred).
- Minimum 1 year experience driving box trucks or similar.
- Warehouse duties performed in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Must be able to read and speak English per DOT guidelines.
- Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (50-75 lbs.).
- Ability to meet and comply with DOT regulations.
- Successfully complete internal Driver Training Program
- Motor Vehicle report must meet Amarr's s driver standards
- Must be 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent.
The Details:
This position is Monday - Friday from 7am - 4pm, however flexibility is required in case early or late deliveries are needed. The pay rate is $22-24/hr based on experience. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off (that you start earning immediately), Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of if you contribute). Candidates for this position must have a good attitude, a desire to work hard with a great team, and the ability to be a self-starter.
