Product Development Director

Our client, a leader in the nutrition and supplements industry, is seeking a talented Product Development Director to drive innovation and oversee product formulation efforts. This role is pivotal in creating market-leading health and wellness products, requiring a professional with deep expertise in supplement formulation and product engineering. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, technical proficiency, and a collaborative approach to bring concepts to life while ensuring excellence in quality and compliance.
**This is a remote position
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of innovative supplement products in alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance and market readiness.
- Oversee all phases of product formulation, from concept to testing and production.
- Manage supplier relationships to source premium ingredients and materials.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends and differentiation opportunities.
- Drive process improvements to enhance development efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure adherence to strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards for all products.
- Develop and manage budgets and timelines for concurrent projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in supplement formulation and product engineering.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition science and dietary supplement regulations.
- Exceptional project management and multitasking skills.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
- Passion for innovation with a track record of launching successful products.
Compensation: $140,000-160,000 plus full benefits
