Job Description

Selectek has an exciting direct hire opportunity for an Automation Engineer who will work to perform: Automation controller (relay) programming design and configuration, Customer support, Electric Grid Automation system configuration/installation/support, production support, engineering support to the team, and training. Training will be provided to selected candidate on how to perform these duties. A primary responsibility of this role is to partner with the fabrication team and ensure the fabrication process runs smoothly. They would assist with any adjustments necessary with the equipment It will be important that engineers are comfortable being hands on with the equipment.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Relay configuration and logic programming
  • Maintain, enhance, and support the production test platform
  • Electric Grid Automation system configuration, installation, and support
  • Support the production floor on any troubleshooting and resolving issues encountered
  • Customer support
  • Training; both internal employees and customers
  • Provide engineering support for all members of the division.
  • Some travel required is not expected to exceed 25%
Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Ability to troubleshoot and willingness to work closely with fabrication team
  • Comfortable assisting with the training of groups on how to utilize automation equipment.
Preferred:
  • Power Systems Focus
  • SCADA knowledge
  • Reclosers knowledge
  • Knowledge of distribution power grid
  • Knowledge of SEL relays

Pay Rate: $60,000 - $80,000 (depending on education and experience)
Term: Direct Hire
