Office Specialist II Job Location: Sacramento, California Job Type: Temporary Pay Rate: $23-$24.09/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm Description of Position: Do you have experience as an Office Specialist II? We are seeking a reliable and dependable candidate for a temporary assignment supporting the Business Licensing unit in Sacramento. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills. The Office Specialist II evaluates customer needs, determines appropriate licensing requirements, and assists with business license and Fictitious Business Name Statement inquires. Support is provided by phone, email, written correspondence, and at the public counter. Business Licensing is a high-volume unit. Specialist may handle 25-100 phone calls per day and interact with 30-125 customers in person daily. Job Responsibilities: Process incoming mail, including Business License applications, Fictitious Business Name Statements, and incorrect payments, returning items with detailed explanations via phone, email, or letter. Scan completed work for digital records Proof completed work for accuracy Close expired Business Licenses Return phone calls from voicemail and follow up on all correspondence Refer customers to the correct Local, County, State, or Federal agencies Respond to written correspondence using form letters and email templates Process returned checks and prepare customer notifications Assist team members in other areas once primary desk duties are complete Description of Company: You will be supporting a government agency in a city in Sacramento, California.
