A Senior Project Engineer is needed for a medical technology company focused on the repair, regeneration and replacement of soft and hard tissue in the Memphis, TN area. This is a Senior Project Engineering role responsible for managing and executing the transfer of manufacturing processes between different locations, ensuring minimal disruption, high product quality, and regulatory compliance.

responsibilities:

  • Oversees the seamless transition of manufacturing processes between locations.

  • Ensures minimal disruption to production during transfer.

  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, etc.).

  • Manages timelines and maintains product quality during the transfer.

  • Monitors and reports on progress to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.

  • Manages the transfer of manufacturing processes, ensuring minimal disruption.

  • Creates detailed project plans (timelines, resource allocation, milestones).

  • Works closely with multiple teams (Engineering, QA, Regulatory, Supply Planning, Procurement, Production, Suppliers) to align objectives and address issues.

  • Identifies and implements process improvements for efficiency and quality.

  • Ensures all processes adhere to industry standards, safety, and company policies.
Skills:

  • Requires expertise in process optimization, problem-solving, and compliance.

  • Must have strong communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Experience in a regulated industry (Med Device preferred) is required.

  • Experience with medical device manufacturing methods is highly desirable.

  • Must communicate optimally with multi-functional teams.

  • Completes assignments with directional input and periodic mentorship.

  • Ability to understand, interpret, follow, and improve Inspection/gauging methods and Quality Systems.

  • strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Education and Experience:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.

  • Requires at least 5 years of professional work experience in new product development or product transfer.
