Job Description:

The maintenance technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of machinery and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient facility operations. This role includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, physical structures, and building systems, as well as diagnosing and repairing pneumatic and electrical systems. The maintenance technician works to minimize downtime, support safe operations, and help maintain a clean, functional, and compliant facility environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Minor maintenance of equipment
  • Responsible for working with outside contractors who are called in to do repair or maintenance.
  • Lay out, install, adjust and maintain a variety of electrical equipment such as wiring, motors, switches, switchboards, PLCs and electrical mechanisms.
  • Diagnose and remedy any electrical trouble quickly to avoid shut-downs.
  • Diagnose and remedy trouble, determine necessary repairs, tear down and reassemble machines.
  • Troubleshoot potential problems before machinery incurs additional expenses or production downtime.
  • Inspect machinery at regular intervals
Education: High School/GED
