Your Day at Lowe's

In this role, you will utilize your specialized knowledge in conveyors, rolling stock, or building components to perform crucial repairs. By harnessing your mechanical and electrical skills, you will independently diagnose and resolve equipment issues while collaborating with team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in the physical environment of a distribution/warehouse setting.
• Perform maintenance tasks that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Conduct specialized repairs on conveyors, rolling stock, or building components.
• Demonstrate your mechanical and electrical abilities to ensure safe operation within the facility.
• Utilize your trade, classroom knowledge, and systems experience for effective problem-solving.
• Obtain or order necessary parts for repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
• Comply with safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
• Stay informed on new technologies and maintenance practices through ongoing training.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience or training in electrical/electronic theory up to 600 volts (or willingness to obtain training within 1 year).
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, up to 70 pounds.
• Capability to work safely with corrosive materials and at heights of 20+ feet.
• Certification at the Maintenance Mechanic level if required by local regulations.
• Proven track record of adhering to safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to differentiate colors.
• Experience or certification in welding and fabrication.
• Experience operating various maintenance equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Schedule Requirements

• Available for on-call support.
• Flexible to work different shifts based on facility needs.

Working Conditions

You will work in diverse environments, both indoors and outdoors, with potential exposure to extreme weather conditions. Adhere to lifting guidelines, utilizing powered equipment as necessary.
