As part of our ongoing commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a dependable Area Managerto join our team and play a crucial role in our Field Operations department.
Performs management functions for field operations to ensure efficient and effective use of equipment, materials, and staffing. Coordinates communications between directors, engineers, customers, and supervisors. Administers specific personnel actions, including hiring, terminations, performance reviews, merit increases, and employee warnings.
Job Responsibilities
- Holds a positive attitude and can build and maintain a high-performing team.
- Coordinates communications between the Director, engineers, contractors, customers, supervisors, and field staff.
- Initiates problem-solving where necessary in the operation of facilities and resolution of customer inquiries.
- Provides leadership to Supervisors and local teams; establishes priorities, reviews work in progress, and evaluates completed work; provides field training as necessary.
- Administers specific personnel actions, including hiring, terminations, performance reviews, merit increases, and employee warnings.
- Reviews daily and monthly reports related to sewer treatment facilities, water treatment plants, and ASR water wells to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Performs routine on-site inspection of all facilities to ensure that facilities are operated and maintained satisfactorily and that all permit requirements and/or regulatory agency requirements are met.
- Manage team performance and development.
- Oversee and support departmental goals and objectives.

Driver's License SC - Biological Wastewater A SC - Water Distribution A Physical Requirements
Office and Field-Based Role Work Experience
Five to ten years of directly related experience in water and wastewater treatment/operations, including at least three years in a managerial role. Construction-related experience is a plus.
License: Class A or B Certification in Biological Wastewater, Water Treatment and Distribution issued by the state.
Education: Requires advanced vocational skills and knowledge of water and wastewater operations and management, which may be acquired by obtaining Class "A" or "B" certification in Water and Wastewater Operation.
