Position Summary

As an Automotive Mechanic Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of vehicles as well as electrical and electronic systems. Your assistance will include helping with parts replacement and repairs, ensuring that our work environment is safe and efficient.

Responsibilities and Duties

This list represents key responsibilities, and you may be assigned additional tasks as needed. All team members are expected to perform their duties diligently, with appropriate accommodations made for individuals with disabilities, consistent with applicable law.

  • Monitor and observe machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Inspect and test machinery and components for defects, confirming they function correctly.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, and other parts.
  • Assist with the installation or replacement of machinery and equipment using necessary tools.
  • Maintain cleanliness by cleaning or lubricating vehicles, machinery, equipment, and work areas.
  • Apply protective materials to equipment to prevent defects and corrosion.
  • Transfer tools, parts, and supplies to and from workstations efficiently.
  • Disassemble defective or broken equipment for repair purposes.
  • 1-2 years of mechanical experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Trade school or college certifications are a plus.
  • Inspection License is a plus.
  • CDL Class B with passenger endorsement or willingness to obtain.
