Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Orthopedic
Job Details:
• Must be charge capable with orthopedic experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Patient population includes total joint replacements (knees, hips, shoulders), orthopedic spine procedures (ACDF, TILF), and other orthopedic surgeries
• Work with special equipment including bladder scanner, Hoyer lift, and orthopedic braces
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA)
• No on-call requirements
• May float to other in-patient units including rehab, post-op trauma, ortho neuro trauma, med-surg, oncology, and observation
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
• Must be over 65 miles from facility location (no local travelers accepted)
• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submittal
• Orientation held 5 days a week with billable modules completed during orientation
• Hurricane season assignment potential from June 1 - November 30 with possible emergency team duties
• RTO restrictions: no RTO greater than 2 weeks
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• First-time travelers not accepted
