Outlier, a platform run by Scale AI, is seeking skilled English speakers to utilize their knowledge in enhancing and training advanced AI systems. If you have a passion for improving AI models and are excited about the technological future, this is your chance to make a significant contribution.

What You'll Do:

  • Embrace a user perspective to generate realistic data aligned with the needs that AI can address.
  • Assess AI performance by evaluating and ranking outputs from large language models.
  • Participate in diverse projects based on your unique skills and experiences.

What We're Looking For:

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to create complex and professional prompts and assess subtle AI logic.
  • Strong Writing Skills: Capability to produce clear, concise, and engaging written content for explaining decisions or providing feedback.
  • Attention to Detail: Dedication to accuracy and the skill to evaluate the technical aspects of AI outputs.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in areas such as literature, creative writing, history, philosophy, or theology.
  • Previous writing or editorial experience (including content strategists, technical writers, or editors).
  • Interest or background in AI, machine learning, or innovative tech tools.

Pay & Logistics:

  • Base Rate: Up to $15/hour USD, based on experience.
  • Bonuses: Additional compensation available based on performance metrics.
  • Type: Freelance/1099 contract - this is not an internship.
  • Location: 100% remote.
  • Schedule: Enjoy flexible hours - you decide when and how much to work.
  • Payouts: Weekly through our secure platform.

This is a freelance role paid hourly. We do not offer internships since this is a freelance opportunity. Candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence, and we will not provide sponsorship because this is a 1099 contract position.
