Our pool is located in theEsporta Fitness on West Hillsborough. We only accept local applicants. Please only apply if your daily drive time isless than 45 minutesone way. This is a part-time position of approximately 15 hours per week. Our regular hours of operation areMon through Thursday, from 4pm to 7pm, and Saturdays from 8am to 12pm.
Requirements
As a swim instructor, you will teach students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program. Even if you are not an expert swim instructor, that’s okWe can train anyone on how to teach the way we teach, but here is what wedoneed from you:

You need to be a“swimmer”. Ideally, you have an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water

You've got tolove working with children and seeing them progress

You need to beupbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work. Having fun is mandatory

This is a year-round position, and we are looking for longer-term employees. This is not a summer job.

Fluent Spanish, competitive swim team background, and lifeguard certification, are pluses but not required.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
