Position Summary:
The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services, treating patients and their families with respect and compassion. This role requires sensitivity to the unique needs of diverse populations, including variations in age, gender, culture, religion, and socioeconomic background.
The primary focus is to conduct Echocardiograms using M Mode, 2-D Doppler, Color Flow, transesophageal echo (TEE), as well as contrast and bubble studies in our IAC-accredited Echo lab.
The sonographer must possess comprehensive knowledge of cardiac pathology and procedures to effectively educate staff, students, and patients while providing precise instructions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered with CCI or RDCS, or registry eligible.
Experience in performing 2-D, Doppler, color flow, and transesophageal echo.
Ability to work independently and professionally, demonstrating resourcefulness in emergency situations.
Current certification in Basic Life Support.
