East Penn Mfg., a world class leader in automotive battery manufacturing is expanding our distribution network and has an opening in our Ashland, Virginia Warehouse. Responsibilities

Responsible for the mechanical installation, maintenance and service of industrial batteries, chargers and battery chanrging equipment at the customer's facility. Someone with excellent mechanical ability, general electrical knowledge and good customer service and communication skills is a good candidate.
  • Dealing with customer complaints and down equipment.
  • Travels to customer locations daily.
  • Majority of customers are located in the Greater Richmond, VA area, but the service territory covers all of Eastern Virginia.
  • Evaluates battery and charging equipment.
  • Must be able to make on-site repairs of batteries and chargers.
  • Must be able to create and maintain documents explaining customer's fleet by type, amp hour, repairs, recommendations, billing, and repairs.
  • Maintains regular attendance.
  • Ability to work mandatory over time.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Management.
Qualifications

Mechanical ability. Electrical background, AC/DC a plus. A valid drivers license and good driving record, strong communication skills, and self motivation.
