Minimum requirements

* Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.

* At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting

* Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles

* Knowledge of Sage and advanced Excel skills is highly desirable (pivot tables, Vlookups, Xlookups).

* Ability to work closely with a team and other departments.

* Strong analytical skills necessary to review/analyze accounting and financial data.

* Annual, Quarterly, and Monthly Financial reporting to management is required.

* Knowledge of Hyperion and Sage 100 is preferred.

* Ability to work under pressure to support demanding deadlines

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant performs the following duties and responsibilities for one to three subsidiaries. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned, as required.

* Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure

* Create and post to GL all department and location accrual entries. Ensure that all appropriate accounting entries are posted accurately and timely.

* Performs monthly analysis related to PnL expenses (Revenue, Cogs and G&A expenses).

* Working with the Accounting Manager and Controller to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close and audit

* Manage Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation

* Participate in the interim and annual audit by providing information and answers to auditors.

* Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed financial reports and statements.

* Serve as a key accounting point-of-contact for other departments, helping answer financial questions and resolve cross-functional issues

* Assist with ad hoc projects as required including research, spreadsheets, analysis and implementation of improved procedures

* Maintain and Utilize Tagetik Software to track IFRS 16 leases.

* Inter-company account management and reconciliation process.

* Assists with tax activities as directed by Accounting Manager and/or Controller

* Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and timely based on contracts, purchase orders, or project milestones.
