Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Tester

Location: Salem, OR

Duration: 12 Months (Hybrid Role)

Job Description:
  1. Participate in the requirements gathering sessions, review requirements and start considerations for the test plan.
  2. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  3. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  4. Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
  5. Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  6. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  7. Participate in GAP analysis with the vendor.
  8. Develop the overall test plan, what will happen in each testing phase, impacted areas.
  9. Create the appropriate data and pre-conditions in the test and staging environments to support the testing effort.
  10. Execute the test cases in the appropriate environment. Record detailed test results of pass and fail scenarios.
  11. When a planned testing phase is complete, prepare the test summary report.
  12. Smoke-test the deployed solution to ensure it is working correctly.
  13. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
Required skills and qualifications.
  1. Proven work experience in software development
  2. Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  3. Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  5. Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management
  6. Experienced in test automation.
  7. Understanding of agile/scrum methodology and how QA functions within it
  8. Experienced in Dynamics 365 or equivalent tools.
  9. Experience in Azure DevOps or equivalent tool.
  10. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  11. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  12. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  13. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Preferred skills and qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
  2. Prior experience in Tax applications
