What You'll Do

As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you'll play a key role in building and servicing McElroy's industry-leading fusion machines and equipment. Your day-to-day work will include:
  • Building and assembling electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Installing and wiring components such as diesel engines, pumps, valves, relays, and control systems
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Soldering and troubleshooting electrical and electronic circuits, including through-hole boards and PLC modules
  • Testing and servicing customer and distributor equipment to ensure top performance
  • Collaborating with teammates to meet production goals safely and efficiently
What You Bring
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic assemblies
  • Experience with PLC modules, relays, voltage systems, and point-to-point wiring
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read schematics and follow detailed work instructions
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation and system updates
  • A strong sense of teamwork, safety, and communication
Physical Requirements

Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures.

Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
