Heavy Civil Bridge Superintendent

Location: Cincinnati, OH

A premier, 100% employee-owned (ESOP) heavy civil contractor is seeking a seasoned Heavy Civil Bridge Superintendent to oversee complex bridge construction projects in the Cincinnati area. Key Responsibilities

The Superintendent is the site leader responsible for the safe, high-quality, and timely execution of all field operations.
  • Field Command: Supervise all phases of concrete and steel bridge construction.
  • Safety & Quality: Enforce strict safety standards and ensure work meets contract specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and execute project schedules, utilizing a two-week forecast to proactively solve issues.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and manage crew labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material vendors.
  • Leadership: Lead daily field operations and conduct weekly foreman meetings.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain positive working relationships with project owners and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in heavy civil bridge construction projects.
  • Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and field management processes.
  • Local Knowledge: Proven experience managing projects in the Cincinnati, OH area is highly preferred.
  • Education: Civil Engineering or construction-related degree preferred.
