Position Details:
Certified Surgical Technician- Gainesville, FL
Location : Gainesville, FL 32614
Project Duration : Full time/ Permanent
Sign on Bonus : $15,000
Shift : Days & Evening

Shift Hours:
Days: 6:30 AM - 7 PM (12hr shifts)
6:30 AM - 5 PM (10hr shifts)
Evenings: 10:30 - 11:00 PM (12hr shifts)
10:30 - 9:00 PM (10hr shifts)

Shift Differentials:

  • Night: $3.25/hr.
  • Weekend: $2.00/hr.
  • Evening (if working 8/10 hr. shifts): $2.00/hr.

On Call Pay: On-call is $4.00/hr. and call back is time and a half

Job Summary and Qualifications:
We are seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions and promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. The Surgical Technician will work in collaboration under the direction of the RN and Surgeon during surgical procedures.

What will you do in this role?
  • Perform scrub duties for various surgical procedures
  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments and supplies needed for surgical cases
  • Communicates and participates in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the RN

What qualifications will you need?
  • Would Strongly Prefer candidates that have 2 years of CST experience. Preference is acute care experience (1 year) would consider someone that does not have acute care experience. want to see candidates with ortho, neuro, vascular and robotics experience
  • MUST have CST certification in hand.
  • Previous scrubbing experience is preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Vocational School Graduate
