Continuous Improvement Engineer I

Job Overview:

Join our team as a Continuous Improvement Engineer I, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting Product Groups to achieve their operational goals. In this position, you will apply engineering principles and continuous improvement (CI) tools to assess the current state and develop future state plans that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.

You will be integral in supporting projects and equipment acquisition, with a strong emphasis on layout planning, work procedures, cost impacts, crewing guidelines, and takt time analysis. Your expertise will drive improvements across operations, aligning with the organization's strategic goals through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Working closely with production teams, you will identify daily issues impacting production performance and develop solutions while fostering strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Highlights of Your Role:

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other methodologies.
• Analyze operational data to uncover trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality and performance issues.
• Develop and deliver training on CI principles across the organization.
• Monitor and report progress on CI projects, including key performance indicators (KPI) and return on investment (ROI).
• Support the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout our operations.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Lead Model Line development to demonstrate and scale best practices.
• Design and deliver training programs for Model Line initiatives.
• Show eagerness to learn and address challenges on the production floor.

You're a Good Fit If You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or quality environments.
• Proven experience leading CI projects with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Preferred certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP).

Also Required:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, and Power BI.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
• Knowledge of process mapping, value stream analysis, and statistical process control.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to accountability.
