  • Description: Bon Secours Mercy Health Clermont Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant locum Wound Care coverage.JOB DETAILS:Coverage Location: Mercy Health Clermont Hospital Batavia OHPractice Setting: Outpatient clinicReason for Coverage: Physician gap coverage between permanent hiresDates of Coverage: 12/22/2025-3/31/2026Average Number of Patients Per Day: 15-30Documentation System/EMR: EpicTrauma Level/Designation: Not designatedRequired Duties: Treating Skin Reactions Preventing Skin Breakdown Treating and Managing Vascular Ulcers Pressure Ulcers and Diabetic Ulcers Initiating Preventative Measures Providing Comprehensive Wound Management Providing and Applying Topical Therapies Educating the Patient and the Patient s Support on Care Techniques Assessing and Treating Draining Wounds and Fistulae Implementing Preventative Actions to Reduce the Incidences of Pressure Ulcers and Vascular Ulcers Providing Instruction on Proper Wound Dressing Educating the Patient and Patient's Support on Ulcer Prevention and Treatment Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment supervision Types of Wounds Treated: Acute Wounds during inflammatory proliferative and remodeling phases Surgical Wounds Intentionally Caused by Surgeons During an Operating Procedure Traumatic Wounds Severe scrapes or Scratches to the Skin Deep Puncture Wounds Tears or Incisions cuts and Burns Surgical Non-Healing Wounds Ulcers Arterial Pressure Venous Insufficiency Diabetic Chronic Venous Insufficiency Pilonidal Cysts Gangrene Radiation injury BurnsTreatments Used:Bioengineered Skin Debridement Hyperbaric oxygen therapy HBOT Incision and Drainage Negative Pressure-Assisted Wound Closure Post-surgical incision management Skin grafting Unna Boot Total contact castingEstimated Credentialing Timeframe: Temporary privileging potential Facility reimburse for the following costs: Flight Mileage Billed at the IRS Standard Rate Hotel Rental Car
