Position Purpose:

Join our dynamic team as an Industrial Equipment Service Technician, a vital role for those who thrive in hands-on environments. As a skilled technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of industrial equipment used in retail and manufacturing settings. You will work on systems such as paint shakers, carpet carousels, checkout stands, blind cutting machines, shopping carts, lifts, and more, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative and Communication (30%): Utilize our technology platform to log all repairs and maintenance performed. Manage parts inventory efficiently and organize replenishment proactively. Communicate clearly with team members and customers regarding service updates and equipment needs.

  • Compliance and Safety (10%): Prioritize safety by adhering to all regulations and performing quality pre- and post-inspection checks on equipment and vehicles. Exercise sound judgment to mitigate safety risks.

  • Repair and Maintenance (60%): Conduct thorough diagnostics and perform both mechanical and electrical repairs and preventative maintenance on customer equipment. Be available during your scheduled work hours to respond quickly to customer service inquiries. Flexibility to take on additional duties as needed.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • This position typically reports to the Region Equipment Services Manager.
  • This position has no direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

  • Overnight travel is required less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform continuous physical activities, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting heavy materials up to 80 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, with potential exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Daily driving is required within a defined local area.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 1+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial and commercial equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical schematics.
  • Well-rounded skill set in equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations relating to safety practices.
  • Must reside within 15-20 miles of the target city.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for customer service and equipment care.
  • Reliable documentation of work performed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • 3+ years of repair and maintenance experience.
  • Ownership of standard tools required for the position.
  • Familiarity with handheld technology (smartphone, tablet, laptop).
  • Ability to adapt to various physical demands of the job.
  • Specific vision abilities required.

Minimum Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Work Environment:
