This position is for our Gainesville Yard.

Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, starting at 5/6pm until complete.

As a Shuttle Truck Operator, you will start at $26.47 an hour + Incentive pay

Main Responsibilities:

As a Shuttle Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer (potentially doubles) between US FOODS® distribution centers and shuttle yards, efficiently swapping loaded trailers for empty ones. Your contributions are crucial to our company's success, based on our core values of integrity, collaboration, and service.

  • Verify route and account numbers for all assigned deliveries.
  • Check customer invoices for products loaded onto trailers.
  • Move tractors to loading docks for trailer attachment.
  • Carefully hook trailers, ensuring all connections are secure.
  • Utilize an electronic system to log time at each stop.
  • Check for returns and paperwork on trailers returning to the distribution center.
  • Conduct safety checks on trucks and trailers.
  • Fuel vehicles as required; unhook and secure trailers.
  • Park and secure tractors and hand trucks as needed.

What You Bring:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid CDL A issued by your state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualification.
  • Minimum six months of commercial truck driving experience or three months of foodservice or food and beverage delivery experience.
  • Double Endorsement License Required.

Great drivers are vital to the US FOODS® team and play an essential role in our organization. We prioritize integrity and reliability, building trust with our customers.

All drivers must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a secure online database for tracking drug and alcohol program violations, as required by the Department of Transportation.

Compensation: The expected base rate for this role is between $24.23 and $29.23, with incentive compensation available.
