UNITED TRADES OF AMERICA is currently seeking skilled Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our team.
Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic
Location: Austin, TX (locals only, no per diem)
Pay: $25-$29 per hour
As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment, including ductwork, gutters, and roofing materials. You will work closely with our HVAC technicians and other team members to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates and specifications
- Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools
- Install sheet metal products, including ductwork, gutters, and roofing materials
- Inspect completed installations and make adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on sheet metal products and equipment
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- NCCER certification
- Reliable transportation
