Senior Electrical Engineer, Power Distribution | $120,000 - $140,000 | Minneapolis, MN

Konik is partnered with one of Minneapolis's most respected engineering consulting firms in their search for a Senior Electrical Engineer. This opportunity focuses on the design of power distribution and lighting electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings. Project types will include education, healthcare, mission-critical, and retail.

You will work closely with the engineering team and customers in engineering state-of-the-art facilities.

Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Project Assessment and Planning: Collaborate with the design team to assess project requirements, break down tasks, and establish scope, budget, and staffing needs.
  • Electrical Design Scopes: Create comprehensive scopes of work based on client meetings and preliminary reviews to guide electrical design processes.
  • Engineering Analysis: Conduct engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems, as well as analyze the performance of existing systems. Present complex analysis findings effectively to project stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Document existing conditions and perform intricate troubleshooting. Resolve complex issues, including conflicting design requirements, code compliance, and diverse design options.
  • Cost Estimation and Compliance: Prepare cost estimates for electrical systems, review contractor estimates, and ensure drawings and designs align with company standards and industry regulations. Additionally, guide and mentor the design team to foster their professional growth.
Senior Electrical Engineer Requirements include:
  • Licensed (PE) Electrical engineer
  • 15+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Extensive experience leading large projects from conception through completion
  • Advanced power distribution and lighting engineering expertise
  • Proficient in Revit
