STS Technical Services is hiring Composite Technicians in Hot Springs, Arkansas to join a specialized MRO facility focused on high-value aircraft component repair. This hands-on position supports the repair and restoration of structural components, including cowlings, leading edges, gear doors, control surfaces, and more.

Position Summary

This role involves composite and structural repair on aircraft components using aluminum, composite materials, and other aircraft-grade substrates. The shop operates with steady demand, offering consistent work and overtime potential for motivated technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare molds, forms, and surfaces for lay-up
  • Lay up composite materials into molds per specifications
  • Trim, drill, sand, and finish parts to blueprint dimensions and tolerances
  • Perform structural repairs on aircraft components in a back-shop setting
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble parts per OEM and FAA guidelines
  • Use sheet metal tools, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment
  • Document repairs accurately and legibly for traceability
  • Follow all safety and quality control procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of composite repair experience
  • Skilled in blueprint reading and interpretation of repair manuals
  • Familiar with repair processes for cowlings, leading edges, gear doors, and control surfaces
  • Basic math skills and experience using precision measuring tools
  • Ability to follow written instructions and specific drawings with limited supervision
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must provide own tools
