Warehouse Draft Associate:
G & G Beverage Distributors, Inc. is a proud competitive distributor of beers, craft beers and ciders throughout New Haven, Fairfield, Litchfield and Hartford County. Based in Wallingford, CT we are seeking a full time Warehouse Draft Associate to support the Operations Team.

G & G is a fast pace, relationship driven business that requires professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and dedication.

This job will work in the warehouse and out in the field with our customers. Details of the responsibilities are outlined below. Candidates should be mechanically inclined, have strong problem-solving skills and be an out of the box thinker. Candidate will be working with and without a tem. Experience with draft equipment and/or refrigeration is a plus.

Responsibilities for Draft Services:
  • Must have mechanical ability.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration controls, draft systems and draft lines.
  • Inspect and problem solves draft system issues.
  • Place and track draught equipment orders.
  • Deliver and pick up draft equipment.
  • Advice and train retailers on the proper and most economical way to serve draft and maintain equipment.
  • Willingness to learn about draft systems and refrigeration.
Responsibilities for Warehouse:
  • Drive non CDL vehicles. § Count inventory.
  • Restock warehouse as needed. § Use fork lift.
  • Repack breakage and seal into correct master cartons and holders.
  • Bail plastic. § Stack empty glass on pallets, wrap and load in trailers.
  • Crush and bag empty cans.
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse atmosphere.
  • Assist operations department as needed.
Position Schedule:
  • 40 hours weekly. Occasional weekends.
  • Schedule will vary dependent on assignment.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Connecticut Driver's license and insurance is required. § Valid Medical Card.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to be proficient with computer software and hardware.
  • Lifting/carrying material up 170 pounds.
  • Forks lift certification.
  • An eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule.
  • Must be an effective communicator. § H.S. /GED desired. § Legible handwriting and good communication skills.
  • Present a positive and professional image, both externally and internally.
  • Ability to work effectively with G & G owners, management staff and employees.


As G&G Beverage Distributors is a growing company with seasonal volume fluctuations, flexibility is required to schedule work hours and vacation around peak work times. Individual must be able to shift priorities, work assignments and, if necessary, perform clerical work. This is an operational position, which requires inventory monitoring, installing and servicing equipment, maintaining vehicles, hanging promotional material, stocking shelves and making product deliveries. The employee reads written material, uses a phone, hand tools, and has hand-eye coordination, manipulation skills, and must computer and drive to customer sites. Lifting/carrying material under 170 pounds is required.
