Synectic Solutions Inc. (SSI), a leading provider of engineering and logistics support to the Department of Defense, is aggressively growing and seeking a skilled Project Controller to join our high-performance team. This role will support complex government programs and provide critical financial oversight to ensure cost, schedule, and performance alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial control, reporting, and analysis for multiple DoD contracts.

  • Maintain, track, and update budgets, forecasts, and expenditures in accordance with contractual requirements and company policies.

  • Manage financial reporting, oversight, and program performance metrics.

  • Support Program Managers with labor planning, project status reviews, and variance analysis.

  • Generate monthly financial reporting packages and interface with internal finance and operations teams.

  • Maintain and analyze indirect rate structures to ensure accuracy in cost reporting and planning.

  • Serve as a Unanet SME for project setup, labor tracking, indirect allocations, and billing workflows.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Controller or Project Financial Analyst role supporting government contracts.

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Unanet in a project control capacity.

  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding and managing Indirect Rate Structures, including overhead, G&A, and fringe allocations.

  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

  • Working knowledge of DoD cost accounting principles, FAR/DFARS, and Cost-Type, T&M, and FFP contract types.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Secret security clearance with Top Secret eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

  • Experience supporting a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

  • Familiarity with DCAA requirements and audit support.
