Job Title: Systems Test Engineer

Job Description

The Electrical Test Engineer is an integral part of the Engineering Approvals Team, responsible for ensuring product compliance with industry regulations. This role involves detailed product analysis, hands-on testing, test development, and interfacing with regulatory agencies to prepare submission materials for certification.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply applicable safety and performance standards.

  • Participate in sustaining and new product development teams to capture and document global hazardous location and performance requirements.

  • Develop test and certification strategies to meet global hazardous location and performance requirements.

  • Create test plans and oversee the interpretation of test results in compliance with company and industry standards.

  • Prepare technical justifications and documents to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards.

  • Interface directly with third-party certification agencies and manage projects with them.

  • Write and execute test protocols in accordance with approval standards and procedures, record results, and write test reports.

  • Understanding of design requirements and their application in product evaluation through technical analysis and testing

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for data presentation and test result articulation

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field is highly preferred

  • Experience with sustaining and new product development projects

  • Experience in the design and certification of products used in hazardous locations

  • Knowledge of hazardous location and/or performance standards (FM, CSA, ATEX, IECEx)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
