We are currently seeking a Field Construction Technician who will play a crucial role in assisting with construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have great organizational skills and a fundamental understanding of construction processes and techniques. You may work on various projects, serving as a construction observer, making field measurements, documenting entries, and interpreting plans. Some assignments may require temporary relocation.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assist with all construction project phases, including planning and scheduling, from implementation to closeout.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules; conduct site inspections to assess progress, quality, site cleanliness, and safety compliance.
  • Address any issues or conflicts during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the construction process.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, prioritizing a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
  • Prepare and present reports, progress summaries, and other documentation to senior management and clients as required.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools is preferred.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate company policies.
  • Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to construction sites as required, including passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
  • Ability to acquire a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within 90 days of employment.
  • Complete Miner Safety Health Administration (MSHA) training within 30 days of employment.
  • Capacity to travel up to 100% of the time with overnight stays; temporary relocation may be required for weeks at a time.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree or certificate in Construction Management is preferred.
  • No prior experience is required; previous experience in construction administration is preferred.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull.
  • Will experience exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises.
