Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a welcoming chair-side demeanor, making the patient your primary focus.
  • Be punctual and ready to work every shift assigned.
  • Assist the dentist and/or hygienist with all procedures, anticipating their needs.
  • Take, develop, and mount high-quality X-rays accurately.
  • Review patient charts before appointments, documenting health histories during exams and treatments.
  • Prepare and sterilize equipment and the treatment area in accordance with protocols before patient appointments.
  • Conduct efficient and precise procedures to help maintain an organized schedule and patient flow.
  • Educate patients and address any concerns they may have.
  • Collaborate as part of the team to deliver an extraordinary experience for each patient.
  • Work with the dental team and support staff to ensure excellent patient service.
  • Assist the front office with scheduling follow-up visits and monitor lab case logistics for quality assurance.
  • When directed, monitor dental supply levels and place orders as necessary.
  • Promote practice services and retail products enthusiastically.
  • Participate in daily meetings to ensure smooth operations.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality through adherence to HIPAA compliance.
  • Follow safety policies in alignment with OSHA and Blood-borne Pathogens regulations.
  • Complete all required training and courses as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current radiography certification is needed.
  • Dental Assistant certification, as per state requirements, or a commitment to obtain certification.
  • Current CPR certification is preferred.
  • Certification for Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen monitoring is an advantage.
  • Must maintain annual training in OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control.

  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside integrity in all job aspects.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Effective organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and remain composed in changing environments.
  • Proficient in computer use and quick to learn new software as necessary.

Work Environment and Conditions:

  • Overtime may be required as approved by the Operations Leader.
  • Travel may be necessary for training and job functions.
  • Adherence to safety procedures and use of protective equipment to minimize health risks is essential.
  • Expect potential prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
