Join our Team Physicians Care is seeking experienced ARRT or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to enhance our dedicated healthcare team.
About Physicians Care:
As part of Urgent Team, which operates numerous urgent and family care centers across Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, we provide quality, affordable healthcare services through our convenient walk-in centers. Open seven days a week, our centers focus on injury treatment, illness care, and wellness initiatives. All Physicians Care centers are accredited by the Urgent Care Association, highlighting our commitment to safety and quality care.
Job Overview:
In this role, you will conduct x-ray testing while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You'll operate diagnostic equipment, prepare examination rooms, and ensure all necessary supplies are available for procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients as they enter our facility.
- Keep patients informed about wait times and next steps in their treatment.
- Resolve patient issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Perform follow-up calls promptly.
- Support front desk team with patient check-in and check-out when needed.
- Document vital signs, patient history, and other relevant information accurately.
- Assist with patient transfers and procedures supervised by providers.
- Conduct timely radiology procedures for physician evaluation.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure exams meet high standards.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and maintain compliance with safety protocols.
- Check that all equipment is functioning correctly and report malfunctions.
- Stay updated on diagnostic imaging practices and maintain necessary certifications.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification
State X-Ray License
ARRT Certification preferred
Experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus
