Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst – EPIC to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will utilize your healthcare and technical expertise to connect business needs with IT capabilities, primarily focusing on the Epic Payer Platform and health data interoperability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Analysis and Design: Analyze and document business requirements from various departments such as clinical, claims, and member services. Create actionable functional and technical specifications for system configurations and enhancements.
  • Epic Payer Platform Configuration: Configure and maintain Epic modules to support business operations. Collaborate with end-users during implementations and troubleshoot technical issues as necessary.
  • Interoperability and API Integration: Drive the implementation of data exchange initiatives that leverage modern interoperability standards like FHIR and SMART on FHIR.
  • Data and Reporting: Utilize Epic's Cogito reporting tools to meet business intelligence needs, focusing on core payer data related to eligibility and claims processing. Develop and maintain insightful reports and dashboards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years as a Business Systems Analyst in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience with Epic systems, particularly the Epic Payer Platform, and Epic Bridges interface.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data and interoperability standards, especially HL7 FHIR.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Epic certification in Payer-related or Cogito modules.
  • Proficient in SQL for data analysis.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
