Responsibilities:

Strategic Bidding & Estimating

• Direct and oversee the creation of highly accurate and detailed cost estimates for complex civil construction projects from inception to completion.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks to gain a full understanding of the job scope.
• Analyze historical production rates, material costs, and equipment utilization to develop informed and competitive bids.
• Develop and present compelling bid proposals to customers and key stakeholders.
• Play a key role in shaping the company's strategic direction and expansion.
• Lead the development and presentation of compelling big proposals.
• Collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to excellence and innovation.

Project leadership & Execution

• Provide expert leadership and management for all phases of assigned projects.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and challenges
• Maintain exceptional communication with clients, engineers, and stakeholders.

Strategic Development:

• Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans and business development initiatives.
• Identify and evaluate potential project opportunities and market trends.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and regulatory agencies to encourage growth and repeat business.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred but not required.
• Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in civil highway construction estimation and project management.
• Expertise:
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex civil construction projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations.
  • Mastery of estimating software and project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and contract administration.
  • Strong background in excel and estimating software
• Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, strong work ethic, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to analyze complex data and solve critical problems.
• Licensing: A valid professional engineering license is a strong plus.
