Sharon Hospital is a 78-bed general hospital located in northwestern Connecticut, a region that offers an inspiring balance between work and life. We provide a full range of services, including bariatric surgery, cancer care, cardiology, emergency care, neurosciences, orthopedics, stroke care, surgical services and women's services.

Job Description:
Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York - plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates,
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations within span of control, resolving problems as necessary, and ensuring that operations are efficient, compliant, safe, and of the highest possible quality.
- Optimize management structures and workflows within span of control to continually improve quality and efficiency.
- Provide oversight of patient care on all units to ensure quality of care and service including; facilitation timely admissions, participating in purposeful patient rounding and collaboration with clinical nurses, physicians and other key care providers.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary and interdepartmental communication for effective patient focused care.
- Identify staffing needs and direct resources in accordance with patient census/activity in collaboration with Staffing Coordinator to assure adequate staffing.
- Work in collaboration with CNO and Nursing Directors to support and drive nursing initiatives and goals.
- Participate in performance management including annual performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures as required.
- Comply with all Health Quest and affiliate policies and ensure compliance with all applicable law and regulation. 8. Regular attendance at committee meetings as required.
- Maintain contemporary professional knowledge and education.
- Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance Performs other duties as required
- BSN preferred; ASN accepted
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in a supervisory capacity
- CT RN License
- Current BLS, ACLS, & PALS is required by the start of orientation
- Location: Sharon Hospital
- Work Type: Part Time
- Work Schedule: Day/Eve 8 & 12
- Work Shift: (2) 3p-11p(8 hr shifts) weekdays and (1)7a-7P on weekends
- Department: Nursing Administration
- Salary Range: $43.9200 - $81.5500 Hourly
