Occupational Therapist - Home Health (Day Shift)

Schedule

Day shift: 5x8 hours (08:00 - 17:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist with experience in home health care. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in their residence, addressing a variety of conditions including post-surgical recovery, respiratory care, and neuro rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Guide patients in performing daily living activities and therapeutic exercises.
  • Utilize advanced techniques including joint mobilization, splinting, and TENS for rehabilitation.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and safety.
  • Document patient care and progress using electronic health record systems.
  • Perform home visits, ensuring the safety and accessibility of the environment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience required, 2 years preferred.
  • Active Florida state occupational therapy license.
  • BLS certification.
  • Home health experience and OASIS training preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits.
  • Must be COVID vaccinated or have an exemption form on file.
  • Flu shot or declination required, with mandatory mask wearing at all times while at work.
