Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Location: Berlin, VTCentral Vermont)
• Assignment Length: Up to 16 weeks, with potential extension
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19::30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $$2210 per week
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS must be completed prior to start)
• Telemetry certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience OR 3 years of Telemetry experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required (at least 2 completed travel RN assignments in 300+ bed facilities or previous experience at any UVMHN acute care facility)
• EPIC EMR charting experience within the past 2 years required
• COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation available in this area)
• Willingness to work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day) if scheduled during assignment

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to acute Med/Surg Telemetry patients in a hospital setting
• Perform bedside procedures such as NG tube insertion, peripheral IV insertion, and telemetry strip interpretation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt schedule as needed to meet unit and patient care needs, including every other weekend coverage
• Accurately document patient care and assessments using EPIC electronic medical records
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation sessions and ongoing professional development
