We're assisting a well-funded, fast-growing startup with their search for a Frontend Engineer (or a Frontend Leaning Fullstack Engineer). Their product simplifies the immigration process through AI-powered automation software. They are open to remote candidates, as long as they can work Pacific time zone hours. For local candidates the role can work a hybrid schedule from their Palo Alto office if they would like.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the founding team to implement web applications.
  • Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code, producing visual elements of the product.
  • Develop and maintain all aspects of our web applications, ensuring high performance and seamless integration with our backend.
  • Evaluate and leverage advanced JavaScript/Typescript libraries and frameworks.
  • Design and implement data modeling and APIs.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
What you'll bring:
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack or frontend engineer with a proven track record.
  • Experience building B2B products, specifically BI tools, reporting, or dashboards.
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Advanced knowledge of React.js, and Next.js
  • Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows such as Github actions and CircleCI
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Knowledge of front-end build tools, such as Yarn, Webpack, NPM, and Grunt.
  • Proficient on taking a product design into technical design, data modeling (PostgreSQL), API (Python & FastAPI), and UI
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the start-up culture
Nice to haves:
  • Experience with designing and implementing data modeling and APIs.
  • Experience working in a small startup environment (Seed or Series A).
  • Experience working with LLMs such as GPTs, Claude or open source LLMs.
