The Litigation team plays a crucial role in managing Coinbase's litigation risks worldwide. As a Senior Litigation Support Specialist, you will provide essential assistance to our consumer and regulatory litigation teams, focusing on processing civil subpoenas, summons, garnishments, levies, and account freeze requests, as well as supporting customer arbitrations and potential litigation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing timely and accurate responses to domestic and international subpoenas, summons, levies, liens, bankruptcies, garnishments, letters from counsel, and other civil requests.

  • Communicating effectively with opposing counsel and government agencies regarding pending requests, in collaboration with attorneys and the litigation team.

  • Assisting in the preparation and filing of litigation and arbitration pleadings, providing paralegal support for active cases.

  • Offering operational support to assess, enhance, and manage internal litigation processes efficiently.

  • Helping teams with additional projects and tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

What we seek in candidates:

  • A minimum of five years of proven experience as a litigation paralegal.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a high volume of civil subpoenas, summons, levies, liens, and garnishments.

  • Experience with arbitration and litigation in both state and federal courts.

  • The capability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong proofreading skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in an in-house legal environment.

  • Familiarity with international jurisdictions.

  • A background in the cryptocurrency industry.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this role ranges from $124,780 to $146,800 USD, alongside bonus and equity eligibility, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
