We are seeking a Temporary Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to our Human Resources Department and service our internal clients. We are looking for someone who is eager to support and strengthen our HR team. This position is ideal for someone who is team-oriented and employee-focused.

Human Resources Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Assisting with recruitment activities including drafting job postings, posting jobs to job boards, and scheduling interviews.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Responsible for new hire onboarding process, including initiating, and tracking background checks, new hire memos, preparing new hire orientation checklist, scheduling orientations, and onboarding meetings, drafting welcome emails, etc.
  • Assists with employee separation processes including departure memos, scheduling exit interviews, preparing benefits separation checklists, etc.
  • Assists with new hire orientation process.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Monitor HR Inbox, answering routine questions and forwarding more detailed questions to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Reconcile and process benefit billing and processing invoices.
  • Coordination and organization of HR Team Meetings.
  • Update and maintain staffing assignments in Excel.
  • Responsible for updating status and title changes in UKGPro.
  • Updating Firm organizational charts
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
Human Resources Assistant Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 3+ years of human resources experience.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and always maintain integrity with confidential information.
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with all levels of firm and department personnel.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Prior related experience preferred.

The salary for this position is $54,000 - $60,000. The salary provided is in compliance with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay for this position will be determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position or sit for prolonged periods and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is frequently required to perform light work that includes lifting and moving objects up to 15 pounds.
