Summary:
Join our dedicated team at UCHealth as an Emergency Services Technician (EMT I). In this vital role, you will provide urgent care to patients under the supervision of medical professionals, including physicians and registered nurses.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical procedures, such as establishing IV access, collecting specimens, and providing wound care.
  • Assist with patient transportation and monitor vital signs and telemetry.
  • Support physicians and nurses during examinations, minor surgical procedures, and resuscitation efforts.
  • Communicate any abnormal assessment findings or changes in a patient's condition to the medical team.
  • Help maintain patient flow by ensuring rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.

This position requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to make quick decisions, and the capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and relevant life support certifications. Current State Licensure as an EMT with IV certification or as an EMT-I.
  • Experience: None required.
  • BLS or CPR certification must be valid at the time of hire and remain valid throughout employment.
