As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Quality Inspector, you will be a team-oriented individual who will review, verify, analyze, inspect and evaluate the precision and accuracy of internal and externally supplied products, designs, documentation, procedures and practices. - Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
- Perform visual inspections of finished and unfinished products.
- Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures; including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
- Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.
- Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions .
- Receive and inspect raw materials.
- Investigate or report questionable test results.
- Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
- Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
- Perform other duties as requested by the quality control manager.
- Other duties as assigned
- Excellent oral and written comprehension.
- Great problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics that include algebra and geometry.
- A broad understanding of engineering principles.
- Knowledge of using and calibrating measurement tools such as height gages and calipers.
- Well versed in ISO: 9000 and AS9100.
- 1-2 years of experience preferred.
- Aerospace background is a plus.
- Experience with composite and metallic structures is a plus.
- Ability to read, speak and write in English.
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, certain positions may require applicantsto be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
- Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less. Corrective lenses may be worn to fulfill requirement.
- Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.
- Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
- Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level.
